| The MAXI ANTI/O lane
lines for Olympic or high-level competitions consist of a succession
of wave-braking elements and watertight floats with a diameter of 150
and 64mm respectively. The special shape of the disks, characterised by the broad diameter of the finning and 300 holes of small diameter (5mm) on the surface, gives the line an exceptional wave-breaking effect. In this way, the kinetic energy of waves produced by the swimmer during the race is absorbed by the special finning which, thanks to the particular position of the line (covered with water for over a half), reaches its maximum effect. The drilling of the finned surface is necessary not only to reduce the weight of the disk, but also to absorb residual energy. For the design of this line for Olympic races, special care has been taken in the dimensioning of the watertight floats. Thanks to their shape they cannot be squeezed or stressed by the wave-breaking disks when the line is rolled onto the reels or damaged by the impact against the border of the swimming-pool when the lines are pulled from the pool. These features guarantee long product life and ensure constantly top-level performance. |
