Swimming-pool sector |
| Moveable bulkheads |
| A moveable
bulkhead is a relatively newly invented piece of equipment used to improve or modify the way of managing an existing pool converting an installation into a multipurpose pool. There are several moveable bulkhead variations. The following rules refer to them alI: The moveable bulkhead shall stand a load (with swimming pool empty) of 250Kg/m2. In use and under the stresses caused by the lanes, the waves and the swimming activities to be evaluated in approx. kg. 150 altogether at the centre of each swimming lane, the maximum bending allowed in the centre of the moveable bulkhead shall not exceed mm. 13. |
||
| Technical description - Supporting structure | ||
| The supporting
structure of the moveable bulkhead consists of stainless steel lattice AISI 304, fit in and bolted in order to counter the shearing, compression and traction stresses generated by loads and other stresses. |

| Walking surfacing | ||
| The
horizontal and vertical surfaces of the moveable bulkhead are made of duly dimensioned HD polyethylene moulded grids and can be: flats grids, structured in order to stand the most severe stresses, for the real- ization of walking slip-proof surfaces and angular sections used to finish the horizontal edges of the structure. The edges of the moveable bulk- head consisting of two mirrored head sections are finished in stainless steel AISI 316, mirror polished, with accident prevention finish suitable to stand possible stresses caused by floor washing operations. |

| Bearying wheels | ||
| The bearing
wheels can vary in terms of number and diameter according to moveable bulkhead size. They are generally 2 max. 3 each side and are machined from a cylindrical PVC extruded piece. They are mm. 200 long with mm diameter 180. The plank made of stainless steel AISI 304 is obtained from a round bar with a 45 mm diameter and is fixed to the main structure of the moveable bulkhead by special stainless steel supports. |

| Spacing wheels | ||
| To prevent
the wharf during its movement from deflecting off the expect- ed path and crashing against the pool walls, two pairs of wheels are provided, one pair every head section. Once the moveable bulkhead has been correctly positioned, the wheels are put against the pool wall and locked in the required position. The wheels are PVC 150 mm diameter. They are 36 mm thick with a vertical axis of 20 mm for the diameter. |

| Anchoring for lane tracing llnes | ||
| The
anchoring points for the lane tracing lines are fixed to the
moveable bulkhead structure. They are stainless steel AISI 316. They are characterized by a round hole in a stainless steel sheet and an inner horizontal bar holding the straightener or the spring hook. The hook is located in the inside for accident prevention reasons. |

| Anchoring device | ||
| You should
be able to fix the moveable bulkhead in several preestablished positions.
To this purpose two or more fixing base plates made of stainless steel AISI 316 are preset in the floor surrounding the pool. Locking sections made of stainless steel tubular sections AISI 316 and 45 mm diameter can be inserted in the base plates. There is a hole to remove the moveable bulkhead should it be necessary to dispiace or remove it. |

| Transfer handle bar | ||
| In
order to satisfy the various functional requirements expected for
the use of the pool you should be able to shift the moveable bulkhead easily into other alternative positions. To do so a pair of handlebars made of electrowelded stainless steel tubular sections AISI 316 are provided. They have 45 mm diameter. Each handlebar can be easily inserted in its seat in the structure of the head sections, after removing the closing grid. The moveable bulkhead can be displaced by pushing on both heads of the moveable bulkhead at the same time. Once in the new position, the handlebars should be removed and the closing panel should be put back in place. |
